A Christmas Poem

Today is Christmas Eve. Whether you celebrate the holiday or not, you know that tomorrow brings presents, thoughts of Santa Clause, and dreams of sugar plums.

Here is today’s dessert:

Let Every Day Be Christmas

Christmas is forever, not for just one day, for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf. The good you do for others is good you do yourself.
© 1976 Norman W. Brooks

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Christmas
  • 1 tablespoon You
  • 1 tablespoon Loved Ones
  • 3 quarts Emotion (divided equally between Love, Share, and Give)

Directions:

Stir in the emotions each day rather than just on the one day of Christmas.

Be kind to others, and to yourself. Kindness comes back two-fold. Store unused portions immediately and use whenever needed.

Happy Christmas to you.

What are your thoughts on Brooks’ poem?
