There Once Was A Girl From…

Okay no. Absolutely not. No limericks today. Because. Because I said so.

Mature, right? Actually I am. I’ve published six posts.

Six.

That’s more than you can count on one hand. Well, for most people… Wait, that’s creepy…

Six posts. WordPress congratulated me after number five with an electronic message. I toasted myself by giving my hands a rest from the keyboard. I relaxed. For a minute. Then I realized I have to keep posting.

I have followers. Email followers. Comment followers. I like my blog.

I’m bound but not tied. Not me. Melt me some Baker’s Chocolate and send me to the oven. I’m ready to bake up some more posts!

And add in the tunes.

Yes tunes. Starting next week I will bring you Tunes With Tuesday. Once a week I will feature the lyrics of a song rather than a poem in my post. Join me at the table for discussions. I’ll pull up the extra chairs.

Thank-you to my followers who suggested this new feature. I read all of your comments and value your opinions.

This is christyb, I’m listening

Not to worry, my other posts will still feature poetry. Sift away your worries. Let’s enjoy the words together.

Oooh, Christy, I love the idea of a “Tunes for Tuesday” blog – what an awesome idea! I can’t wait to see what your first one will be! Mmmm, is there a cookie with that chocolate? 🙂

I like your blog too. (was that girl from Nantucket, by the way?)
i love your new feature! Sounds challenging. What genre music do you prefer? For me, there are no songs written with more meaning and prose than those written during the 60’s to mid-80’s, like Jim Morrison, Arlo Guthrie, Carol King and Jack Kerouac…
Good luck with the new project!

It’s nice to see you here Marc. I’m not planning to focus on one genre, at least not at this point. I’m glad for the positive feedback, get the air guitar out and start practicing!
