Connections to Music

Hope

Have you ever heard a song that you just cannot seem to get enough of? You play it, set it on repeat, and the melody swims across your mind even when you are far away from the stereo.

The words swim in soothing currents in your head because you connect with parts of the song. Perhaps you enjoy the melody. Tell me, is it the words that keep you coming back for seconds? Is the song like a sweet dessert that you divulge before you head to bed?

I have had Madilyn Bailey’s version ofΒ Don’t You Worry ChildΒ in my head for over a week now. The track is this week’s Tunes with Tuesday song.

I replay the song on YouTube and I listen intently to the words. I love the hope that her words offer, in such genuine tones that hug my heart without any physical touch.

The words that Madilyn Bailey softly sings tell us not to worry. “Heaven’s got a plan for you”. That is my favorite line.

I think about the struggles I have been through and seen the threads unravel on items I wore. I see more blue skies now than I did a few years ago. I did not understand why I went through such struggles at a young age.

Now, I think that there is a bigger plan for me. I learned so much about myself, about the world… I am still learning. We always have so much more to learn, and there is self-discovery with each new day.

This is christyb: I hope you take time today to listen to this song of hope. I also hope you ride the currents of music when you need hope and need a reminder about how to swim.

Beautiful Christy and couldn’t agree more about learning new things daily. Trust me, I am still learning new lessons all the time and probably will for years to come. This song really does hit home on that one and can see why you love it so!! πŸ™‚

I didn’t know this version of this song, how lovely! I love those songs that you just need to listen to nonstop all days for days on end; they connect with your soul for whatever reason for that particular moment in your life.

So inspiring Christy! I’m so happy that you are in a good place now. You deserve every second of it. πŸ™‚ I’ve had that happen with songs. Where they just touch my soul and I can’t get away from them.

I have several like this. Depends greatly on my mood though. Amanda Marshall seems to be my go to singer of choice these days.

This is very nice, I am glad it speaks to you. It has a wonderful and uplifting message.

Yes Christy, I have a selection of my own favourites which suit my mood, And its not until we look back on life’s path that we see why we travelled the road we did… No experience is ever waisted.. We each learn and grow stronger from our heartaches in life..
Loved this choice of music, I hadnt heard her before and love it. πŸ™‚

Oh Sue, I think you are so right about experiences always being for a reason. I do believe we are guided by a higher force who has a much bigger vision for each of us than we can even imagine. While some people shudder away from life’s purpose I am going to try my best to pursue it! So happy to have met you, have I told you that lately? xx

Although I didn’t recognize her name, I’m sure I’ve heard her voice before. Hauntingly beautiful.

Glad you are seeing more blue skies, Christy. It’s hard growing up. We often go through many traumas and troubles before we find happiness and our life’s contentment. Let’s hope the worst is behind you now with only blue skies ahead. πŸ™‚

But no need to worry child… Because… “Heaven’ s got a plan for you”.
    Best wishes.
