Wowa with the Blog Of The Year Award

Hello Sweet Blog Friends!

Pause. Repeat.

Yesterday I received word that Poetic Parfait won the Blog Of The Year 2013 award. I read the words twice. Okay, more than twice. I still smile!

Award for Blog Of The Year 2013

Blog Of The Year 2013 – Wowa!

Thanks to Deb of Container Chronicles for giving me such a prestigious award! If you are not already following Deb’s blog, I recommend it as it is full of her fun musings on life and quilting adventures. Once I publish this post, I’m going to put it on my blog, on the right hand side. Yes, over there —->>>

It is quite the coincidence that this award post falls on Parfait Day~ Thanks to Jeff at Revelling in the Overflowing Grace of God for telling me today.

As for accepting the award, there are a few rules that go along with it (as with all blogging awards!):

  1. Select the blog(s) you think deserve the Blog Of The Year 2013 Award.
  2. Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen- there are no minimum or maximum number of blogs required- and ‘present’ the blog(s) with their award.
  3. Let the blog(s) that you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the instructions with them. (please don’t alter the instructions or the badges!)
  4. Come over and say hello to the originator of the Blog Of The Year 2013 Award via this link:
  5. You can now also join the Blog Of The Year Award Facebook Page. Share your blog posts with  an even wider audience.
  6. And as a winner of the award- please add a link back to the blog that presented you with this award-and then proudly display the award on your blog- and start collecting stars!

Drumroll, Please!

    Dear ChristyB,

I read about this wonderful gift of yours yesterday but as I was busy with a writing deadline, decided to hold off my comment until today. Something so selfless deserves due time and consideration to acknowledge – certainly much more than a thank you.

I’ve been following your blog for some time now and have always enjoyed your poetry, thoughts and vignettes of life and love. You’ve always handled these profound topics with a light and thoughtful touch and, as you know, I’ve expressed my admiration via numerous comments left on your blog. Then came your anthology of poems, Pathways to Illumination. What an accomplishment! I was happy for you and even happier as the reviews started pouring in. I especially relished the review by Julie Catherine – an accomplished poet herself.

Therefore, it is not surprising that you landed the Blog of the Year Award 2013. I say this not to diminish your well-deserved recognition but to highlight what a clear winner you are.

Congratulations! May flowers and all good things line the paths ahead.

You humble and honour me with your selection for the Blog of the Year Award 2013.

You know that I’m not into awards, simply because of time constraints, but how does one ignore such generosity.

Thank you my dear. I shall treasure this thought – always.

I thank also your many friends who dropped by my blog and (some even) signed up to ‘follow’. I hope my posts live up to ChristyB’s words of praise and your expectations.

I wish you many more years of blogging and spreading light and love,
    Eric Alagan

Eric, I needed to take time before responding to your wonderful comment as I cried the first time I read it. Truly heartfelt are your words and I cherish them.

Thank-you for the wonderful acceptance comment here and for giving back to me with your kind words. You really have made a profound impact on my writing, and I was so happy to be able to acknowledge you with the award.

Do take care, have a wonderful weekend, and I will see you soon in blog-land! Take care, and wishing you all the best as well, my friend.
