Poem: You Sit Between

Poetry about Lines on Paper

A poem is brewing over the weekend, peaking with a cup of creativity for Poetic Parfait. It is a day for writing and talking with friends!

I better replace the filter on the coffee pot, and, as I do so, hopefully you will enjoy the soothing liquid words here.Β If you want a bigger cup, I’ll be sure to pick you one up soon πŸ™‚

You Sit Between

Spaces move between lines and
You sit between them,

Smiling at me and
Wondering what I will write next.

You tell me you fit between the jumping verbs,
Stirring spoons, and restless nights.

I know
Your fit gets better with every day and
I trust you will move between the spaces and
Into my heart,

One day.

Until then
I wait with syllables and cling to the paper,

Comfortable in the knowledge you will swim with
my vowels and consonants soon.

    β˜… β˜… Dear Christyβ˜… β˜…

    Your poem is so touching.
I must tell you it travelled from BC to BA and then straight into my heart…

I enjoyed the way you have played with feelings as if the waltz of words suddenly became a poem as lines and stanzas follow their own rhyme and sequence…

The jumping verbs, the Stirring spoons give us a sense of timeless writing.

    Writing beneath time…

Restless nights; when feelings came out into the dark light of nightly presences. The starry sky above us. Night is the kingdom of unraveled secrets, the most genuine feelings appear by then..
Vowels and consonants, lines and syllables…
All you expect to happen lays there between the lines.
What you meant to say, the sound of unsaid words… Stirring spoons, and restless nights.

Thanks for the beautiful poem… (sigh) . Hugs Aquileana πŸ™‚

Yes, dear Aqui, it is the unsaid words that lay with me in the silence that ring true… and there are hopeful notes that sound in the waltz of words!

Your comment seeks to get beyond the surface level, and indeed it does. Your care for my words and the friendship full of love you adorn me with are really beautiful gifts. Thank-you, as well.

      HUGS xo

    DEAR CHRISTY,

LOVE IS A BEAUTIFUL INSPIRATOR…WHEN YOUR HEARTH IS TOUCHED BY LOVE,YOUR MIND WILL BE FILLED WITH THOUSENDS WORDS,TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT YOUR HAPPINESS…
AND YOUR PEN WILL WRITE THEM DOWN ALMOST FASTER THAN YOUR HAND CAN MOVE…

Fall inside the words you write, to roll amongst their snow, roam to wander near and far, the stories they’ve not told. Words like colour on a page, to run swift to slow between waterfalls, hear their voices share the tales, ink to paper fall, conversations to the pages, between your fingers draw, long the lines in tactile paragraph, and page…

Christyb, You have an uncanny way of saying volumes with precise words that merit the continual awards you receive. Keep those adjectives and verbs flying while stirring our creative pens to action. Your vibrant energy is indicative of greater things to come. Keep shining both inside and out.

Christy, another eloquent poem that speaks volumes – and I think I enjoy reading the comments almost as much as your words! I could use a mega cup of coffee this morning! Smiles, love and hugs to you, dear friend! Have a wonderful week. xoxox

You are manufacturing him right now, as you mould his image within your words, as you share your heart within your syllables, and he too is conjuring up a delight as he day dreams of a lady who has heart and who will give him hers.. πŸ™‚ Keep Manifesting… He is there… πŸ™‚

Much love and excellent poem.. as I read between the lines πŸ˜‰ x x x
