Come on now!
How is it that 2014 is really turning out to be such a good year? I think it has to do with my thinking – it really is more positive than last year and my will to continue to write as a career is strong. So another great announcement is the radio interview that Shannon Fisher has kindly invited me to do on Sunday, March 9!
Shannon is a woman I admire for so many reasons. She has such strength as she pursues activism in women’s rights, and dang can that lady write too! I will be the guest for her radio show “The Authentic Women,” part of the Authors on the Air series on BlogTalkRadio.
So, why am I excited? I will have the opportunity to discuss writing and issues so dear to my heart, such as depression. I am thankful for this opportunity.
If you want to catch the show live, it airs on Sunday, March 9 at 8pm EST (5pm PST) at The Authentic Woman – with Host Shannon Fisher & Guest Christy Birmingham. The link takes you to the page and provides you with a little background information too. AND no worries if you can’t make it Sunday as the podcast tapes so you can watch it at any time after that at the same link. I really do love having all of your support and want you to know that.
Also, I can NOT leave today without posting about it being International Women’s Day! How amazing to have a day that celebrates female empowerment. Here here! I wrote a poem in tribute to women, titled Not Satisfied with Settling. I hope that the read of it leaves you realizing how much you can truly accomplish – a lot!
