For Mother’s Day: Poetry of Love

Poem for Mother's Day

Here’s to wishing a happy Mother’s Day to those special ladies out there!

Here’s a poem I wrote to my own Mom. I know I am so blessed to have her and whenever I need her she is always there. That’s an incredible feeling to have someone like that in life. I know I am so fortunate.

I hope that you all are having a great weekend, whether you go out, relax at home or do a bit of both.Β β™₯

Your Spirit, Mom

We take to the skies one day, don’t we?

Before then, we treasure the moments of
Making connection between foot and field,
Making connection between heart and strings.

When you tell me you love me,
You tell me I am able, capable, and
I adore you for all that you bring to my life.

When I look to the skies, the sun shines
Almost as brightly as your spirit,
Lifting my soles, my soul, and
Telling me to keep being my own center.

Thank-you Mom for all you do
With all of your love.

SO beautiful, these lines, and so very much what we ought to be doing.

Before then, we treasure the moments of
Making connection between foot and field,
Making connection between heart and strings.

Thanks for the pleasant Mom’s Day greetings, Christy! We had a nice one, though it was a bit emotional missing my own Mom for the first time. Still, I got to find out my first grand baby, due in late September, is a girl. And boy did we find a few cute girly outfits to dress her up in when she finally arrives too πŸ™‚
