OH yes! It’s nearly time for the launch of Versions of the Self.
I can hardly contain myself in sharing with you the book cover for the first time publicly! I will be offering the book in BOTH Kindle and hardcover versions.
Here it is, the front cover for my next poetry book:
I am so pleased with the way it turned out. Thank you to the designers who have helped me. I began by selecting a premade cover by designer Betibup33 of The Book Cover Designer. The paintbrush caught my eye as it relates to the creations (painting) of the self within the book. Such a unique image! How the cover relates to the book will become quite clear when you read the Preface. I found the book covers at this particular site very affordable, and there are many covers to choose from for a range of genres.
Next, I wanted to personalize the book cover with my title Versions of the Self, as well as have a custom designed spine and back cover. That is when I reached out to Apple Blossom Media for those specific cover design services. They were professional, easy to communicate with, reasonably priced, and I highly recommend them for creating your next book cover in a custom design. Here is how the hardcopy book will look:
I am excited to announce that Versions of the Self will be publicly available for sale in May. It will be available on Amazon (eBook), and hardcopy versions will be printed on demand via CreateSpace. I will provide you with all of the link information once the book is available to you.
Many of the poems have never been published before, on this blog or anywhere else. Here is a synopsis of the poetry book Versions of the Self, as read from the back cover:
Imagine a shift to the way you see the world that arises through poetic narration.
Imagine the world, at its base level, is a collection of selves. These selves collide, disperse, intermingle, and share themselves in lines of free verse. Such is the premise of Versions of the Self, poetry that assumes multiple types of selves exist and relate in ways that alter them. Each of the eight chapters looks at a different type of self, including the singular “I” and romantic interactions. These unique 80 poems definitely color themselves outside of the lines.
My next post here will be when the book releases in May!
I thank you in advance for all of your support and encouragement as wonderful friends here in Poetic Parfait-land! ♥
