Hugs and Happiness

A Hug To Share

A hug to share,

If I dare,

And with kindness to spare,

I do so want to make you aware.

Hope Unites Globally Hug Award

When I received the HUG (Hope Unites Globally) Award from Lauren of LScott Poetry, I was overcome with positive emotion. To list a few:

  • Happiness
  • Excitement
  • Gratitude
  • Awwwwwww

Why the emotion?

It is wonderful to be nominated by Lauren who is such a talented poetry writer. Thank-you again Lauren.

Second, I am blown away by the depth of the meaning of the award. I was not familiar with the HUG Award myself before I read Lauren’s post; read the description below and then you will understand my happiness associated with the nomination:

The HUG Award© was initiated by Connie Wayne at A Hope for Today at http://ahopefortoday.com, which promotes hope, love, peace, equality, and unity for all people.

The HUG Award© is for people with an expectant desire for the world, for which they: Hope for Love; Hope for Freedom; Hope for Peace; Hope for Equality; Hope for Unity; Hope for Joy and Happiness; Hope for Compassion and Mercy; Hope for Faith; Hope for Wholeness and Wellness; Hope for Prosperity; Hope for Ecological Preservation; Hope for Oneness

“People do not have to give up or compromise their own religious, spiritual, or political beliefs to qualify for the Hope Unites Globally HUG Award©. They qualify for the HUG Award© when, without bias or prejudice, they use their resources and gifts to make the world a better place for everyone.”

And so my heart is pleased.

I wish to honour a friend who is so giving in his words and in his poetry. I nominate Miro of Warrior Poet Wisdom. His poetry signifies strength and his words give me hope for a world with positive energy. He is genuine, and I read his posts for the comfort and guidance his words offer me. If you have not yet visited his blog, I encourage you to do so.

Miro, please visit this website for the guidelines of the award: http://ahopefortoday.com/2012/01/14/hope-unites-globally-hug-award-guidelines/

For all of you, my wonderful Poetic Sweets, I enjoy your posts so much. I do love the variety of the blogs and the posts I read daily. I appreciate the support of the comments you write for me, and the laughs and smiles you bring to my face.

This is christyb, my arms are extended to hug you all.

This is christyb, my that is one heck of a long line-up for hugs! And I like it!

Congratulations Christy ! One should be proud to receive such a nomination, especially for peace and harmony in life, and regardless of religious affiliation, differences in opinion and the like. Although this concept may not reach out to as many people that it should, just a few or the right one can make all the difference eventually. Congrats once again Christy !
