Ah, how delightful to wake up and be surrounded by notification of new books to read! Particularly since I just posted yesterday about finding time to read even when you’re busy. By the way, thank you to everyone yesterday who offered additional tips in the comments section of the post. Feel free to browse the useful suggestions there.

Book Win from Jo Robinson, Woohoo!

Okay, now back to the new books to read. I awoke to an email from author Jo Robinson telling me that I won the book launch tour giveaway yesterday for three of her books. How exciting! You can find out more about her books at Jo Robinson blog. I will review them once I have read them. I will also review The White Horseman by J.S. Graydon once I finish it. I just finished another book yesterday that I will review this coming week.

Free Books for You Too

As I read through some blog posts this morning and email notifications, I also noted some free books available. If you live in Canada, the US or the UK, you can get Terry Tyler’s Dream On for free.

Also, the Kindle edition of Spellbound (Spellbringers Book 1) by Tricia Drammeh is free right now too! I have this one already and look forward to the read soon! It looks to be a mix of paranormal awesomeness!

Want to try your hand at a Goodreads giveaway? The details are all here at the blog Further Annotations. I entered today to win The Automation by G.B. Gabbler, and now you can too, when you click that blog link in the previous sentence. Good luck, everyone!

If you do pick up these books, I recommend that you leave a review at Amazon, Goodreads and/or your blog. You can leave reviews in one, two or all three of these places. I know that authors appreciate honest reviews of their books.

My Current Book Project

I recently had a writer friend ask me when my next book is coming out. I appreciate the inquiries about my writing projects. I admit to getting caught up in reading and client work, so I often put the book on hold. But… I am proud to say that I plan to have the next book out by the middle of 2015. It is my goal! It will be a collection of poetry. I am not unveiling the subject… yet. Stay tuned! Thank you to everyone who has supported my debut book Pathways to IlluminationI am so proud of that book!

Cheers to reading books and having fun writing blog posts. Are you with me? ((Smiles))

So proud of you, too! I just love Kindle books. I have like 30 in my queue of things to read. They’ve been there for awhile. Slowly but surely I’ll get there. 🙂
Congrats on your newest book project, too.
Best wishes for the Happiest of New years!

I was just on the “RedMund” site to buy your book. I have PayPal.
I ticked the thingy for “Kindle”. I don’t actually have a Kindle per se, but I have the Free Kindle Application for computers. Will that work?

Better stop putting the book on hold, Christy. I’m a fine one to talk but I’m saying it anyhow. I plan to put out three books next year. I’m halfway there with finishing, which makes me feel pretty ambitious. Happy New Year.

I am so scattered in my book reading! I aim to buckle down and read more in 2015, which will mean less time writing. It’s a fair trade, there’s so much excellent material to read out there!

Yes, I think that reading is a great way to improve our writing skills, which is one of the reasons why I read so much. I also love it!! Thanks, Ry, and I hope you find that balance you are looking for (although you are already a great writer, just so you know!)

Hi Christy… Thank you for the update of your book and all the authors you have brought to out attention. Always exciting for both the author and the reader to know their works is out there for others to enjoy.
If your next book is anything like Pathways to Illumination then we are in for something special. I find I keep your close at hand and reflect on your journey often… well written and such a wonderful read.
